I am a lifelong artist who eight years ago discovered the perfect medium for myself - clay sculpting. I love working with clay and find it challenging, fascinating and forgiving.

The process of creating sculpture is very organic, and I allow the element of chance to influence the final posture and attitude of each of my sculptures.
Every piece I make is completely hand-crafted and is one of a kind. My years of experience in the field of American Sign Language encouraged a keen attentiveness to non-verbal communication. I strive to apply those skills to communicate the essence of each animal I create with clay.
I have a deep admiration and fascination with the unique beauty, dignity and humor of all animals which is the inspiration for my work, and I celebrate the special affinity between humans and animals. Each animal sculpture I create is uniquely hand-built, bisque fired, and then carefully hand painted to create a sense of realism and personality.
